The Cape Ann Museum has a wonderful children’s activity room, perfect for a winter day when its too cold to go to the park. Come on by and enjoy!

Caffe Sicilia is super family friendly, too, with friendly faces, yummy treats, and spacious seating. Charlotte had her first bites of cannoli, and of course, she loved it!

WE ALSO WENT LIVE! Were you watching?
We ask Craig about his origin story on how he got in to BBQ’ing and photographing food. Craig talks about some of the trails and tribulations of rubs, meats, grilling in the cold. How his videos are different on youtube than other videos and who inspired him to get going doing his damn thang! He also GOES IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN on the Brisket on his (Humphrey’s Grill box) he is making for Superbowl Sunday for “Mistah Sistah’s” party. We get a little bit of trolling from Mr. Beard’o. Patriots hype | It’s on! MFA Boston vs the J Paul Getty 3pm today #MuseumBowl twitter showdown

Over the past few years, museums join in the Super Bowl spirit via trash talk on social media accounts. From humorous challenges and clever collection puns it’s morphed into big stake art bets for Super Bowl contenders: Some wins have triggered a museum loan from the losing city’s rival fine arts institution. Yesterday (see below) the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, announced a twitter showdown with the J Paul Getty Museum, Los Angeles. Look for #MuseumBowl and @mfaboston and @GettyMuseum. It’s going down at 3pm TODAY, Friday, Feb 1, 2019. I don’t know if there’s a wager but I hope so! It’s great fun no matter what.

The MFA makes good use of their archives dog, Riley.

Guess Who Came To Dinner

We watched this little story develop on the shoreline recently. It’s a story as old as time, I suppose. Scavenging seagull interrupted by persistent shore bird. I realize we shouldn’t attribute human traits to animals but that’s one way to make sense of observations. This appeared to show an annoyingly persistent little bird’s efforts chasing away the big bad seagull. Fun to watch regardless.
