is this a real thing? Apple Crumb cake with cheddar cheese?

I asked on Facebook: “What is your favorite Thanksgiving meal pie? I’m going pecan. How bout you?”

Paula Ryan OBrien comes back with “Apple crumb. With cheddar cheese.” — and quotes: “Apple pie without some cheese is like a kiss without a squeeze!”

Not for nothing but that sounds disgusting.

Am I wrong here? Is cheddar cheese on apple pie actually a thing?
