Does anyone know if this could be the old stair case to the hotel’s salt water pool on Shore Road?

I think so – there was a staircase that led down from the arched gate – it was a magical place to grow up. I wrote a short memoir piece about it – I practically grew up there in the 60s.

Thanks Donna! Went out this way a few times but so long ago. Of course 50’s – 60’s when I was that way many people stuck more close to their neighborhoods 5-6 mile ranges…at lest for us children then on foot or bike. Of course the big city then Gloucester and Rockport Glad to see got another (Sagamorgan) who remembered this and passed on to all viewers! 🙂 Dave & Kim 🙂
