If you Believe

Immanuel

Then this is what Christmas day and this season is about for you, and I wish you a blessed and joyous Christmas. If you don’t believe, I wish you a joyful season of celebrating what you believe.

This painting is a somewhat unique representation of the well known manger scene. Mary is gazing at Jesus with awe, amazement and a little concern because, although he is holding her finger, he is not looking at her.  Instead, he is gazing out of the painting at me, at you, at the world that he came to redeem.  Even as a little infant, His Godhead knew why He was here.  Oh come let us adore him, Immanuel “God with us”.

Nichole’s Picks 12/26 + 12/27

Well, Christmas will be behind us and most of us will be ready to sit and relax for a bit.

Honestly, my “Picks” for the weekend immediately after Christmas would ideally involve doing nothing at all.  Watch the children play with their new things, grab a good book, curl up and hunker down for a while.   Or…even better….with the weather being so unseasonably balmy….get outside.  Go for a walk, a hike, or a bike ride…or a skate.

To be honest, I’m not sure what the status of the outdoor skating rinks is when it is almost 70 degrees in September, but it is worth checking out.

So,

I think that this is fairly short…so don’t expect a full-length movie!

The Polar Express 4-D Experience

Cape Ann Community

Richard Weissman, Business School Professor at Endicott College, and Peter Jenner, Chair, School of Hospitality Management at Endicott College, facilitated a brainstorming session with the Gloucester U Culinary class. Students broke into two teams and each designed a food truck, complete with concepts (one group decided on a waffle truck, and the other truck included dishes found at ball game concession stands such as hot dogs and popcorn) catchy names, fun menus, and usable interior truck designs.
