Similar trash appears on Plum Cove Beach every summer. Locals pick up regularly. It would be so nice if the litterers took notice and didn’t leave the trash in the first place. Especially the person who buried their baby’s diaper in the sand. But a lot of trash comes from dumping at sea. There’s something wrong when kids have named those plastic tampon applicators “beach whistles”…

The trash now being uncovered as the snow mountains at Good Harbor Beach parking lot melt is tragic. It will despoil the marsh and have dire consequences on our Eco system. I hope the City will be sending in hazmat crews to shovel this insidious trash up into trucks for proper disposal at the landfill. Our beach parking lot must be restored.
