I live across from Stage Fort Park, & remember from past years what the ground looks like once the snow farm has melted. This year will be a much larger challenge, because of the staggering quantity of snow. I’m always appalled by the total lack of respect that so many regular folks seem to have for our streets, our hoods, & the planet. And though there are plenty of individuals who independently bag trash on our streets & beaches, we seem to be outnumbered by clueless litterbugs.
It’s truly heartening to see these young people jumping into the fray. Don’t hesitate to express your appreciation when you see these kids out doing such a thankless task. Maybe buy them a snack, or give them some water or cocoa.
Where’s the snow? Did they clean that up too?
