May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
The Four Leaf Clover by Winslow Homer
Thanks to my friend Cathy who shared this beautiful Celtic blessing yesterday in honor of Saint Patrick’s Day.

That’s what I would like to have said over me, when my family lays me to rest. Many years from now, of course.

Thanks for sharing that Kim! That is one of my favorite versions of the ‘Irish Blessing.’ I love the Winslow Holmer painting too. Interestingly, there are a number of different versions. I found one today that speaks to our ocean setting –
May your joys be as deep as the ocean,
Your troubles as light as its foam.
And may you find sweet peace of mind,
Wherever you may roam.
