Until today. This is a fish they catch South of the Cape. I’ve never seen one landed around here. If you don’t think global warming is real, you’re bananas.

My Grandfather used to catch bonito on the other Cape, Cape Cod, and they are delicious, too!

my dad would get one now and then in his mackeral trap when i was a kid back in the 60s the trap was off swampscott

Caught them in Woods Hole. Speedy little dudes, hard to keep up. Freshly purchased silver side plug tied directly to line. At least that’s what I was told you had to do since they have good vision even a tiny snap swivel and they spook.
