Wasn’t this called the Hesse House at one time or do I have my houses wrong? It is easily becoming the most photographed and painted place in the area. Is it a hotel or guest house now?

I believe it was known as the Hesse house at some point and I do not know for sure. It remains as a private home. By the way I’ve been told that in the winter in the old days when the house wasn’t occupied it was an ideal place to go after the Dance to cuddle up and watch the submarine races!

…heard it was once owned by a movie star in the ’40’s, and also heard that staff said it was haunted at one time. Perhaps it’s just lore…..
