Happy to see this is being built in wood…But not the way I was taught..no heavy tar paper or preservative ?! Joe Masoe of Union Hill taught in the 1950s. Subsequently built 100s of decks, correctly .

With all the money that is taken in for beach parking I would hope the city would spend a fraction of it and use some sort of composite material for the decking. It will be cheaper in the long run because it will last longer and there will be less maintenance work to be done to it.
