    Hint — at the time of this race she had just completed an extraordinary circumnavigation.

  2. Time’s up. This is VOYAGER, an Alden 390 design by Aage Nielsen, built in 1929 by C H Morse in Thomaston, Maine. Here, in the 2007 Gloucester Race, she had just returned from circumnavigating the world. P & J Phillips had set off from New York and reentered the US at Mystic Seaport after 5,475 days of meandering to explore cultures and architecture. They paused in Thailand to rebuild VOYAGER and she returned in better condition than when she departed New York. VOYAGER is now moored in Rockland, Maine.

    1. the Morse Yard in Thomaston Maine is now known as Lyman-Morse…it was purchased years ago by a Marblehead fellow, Cabot Lyman, and has been producing great work ever since…FYI…
