Gloucester Webcam of The Day- Gloucester Quilter

Check Out The Gloucester Quilter Blog Here

This Webcam and more can be found at www.gloucesterwebcam.com

This www.gloucesterwebcam.com local webcam portal project was an idea I had last year to have as many webcams streaming from local businesses or organizations as possible which highlight the incredible vistas that we as people that live and work here get to enjoy each and every day.

The idea was to have the organization install the webcam, have them embed the webcam feed on their own websites as well and have a link to each business website on the Gloucester webcam portal website to showcase their business as well.

Tim Blakeley from Gloucester Bytes provided the initial installation at ridiculously cheap cost because he believed in the project.

Discover Gloucester Weekly From Linn Parisi

Joey- Thanks for the chance to catch up on some of the past couple of month’s pictures I’ve wanted to share.
The first pic is from February 28, taken at the Cape Ann Brewing Company: Jeremy Goldberg gave Steve Borichevsky (Shooting My Universe) a fabulously framed Fisherman’s Brew carton & Award for winning the photo contest for the new carton design. I was happy to meet & chat with Steve. I’ve loved his amazing work for quite a while… ditto for Fisherman’s Brew. It’s great having Cape Ann Brewing as a Discover Gloucester partner.

The second and third pics are from the AAA Travel Marketplace held at Gillette Stadium March 2-4. Over the 3 day show, we interacted with 2200 potential visitors. Bob from Ryan & Wood and Paul Frontierro, 7 Seas Whale Watch set up the booth and worked it for a few hours. Bob just loved wearing the sou’wester, heh heh…

I want to share these invitations, too-

The Ordinance & Administration Committee of the City Council, chaired by Councilor Romeo-Theken, has invited all Gloucester tourism business professionals to give their input re: rewriting the City’s Tourism Commission Ordinance at a Workshop on Tuesday, April 17, 6PM at Kyrouz Auditorium, City Hall. This is your chance to be heard as to what you feel the City should undertake in the way of planning the work and working the plan for tourism in Gloucester, so show up and speak up.

A Mountain Biking Four Year Old! From Terry Weber

Hey Joey,
Yesterday before the rain came, we went on a walk in Ravenswood. On the trail we met Eli from Manchester who was mountain biking with no training wheels! I am a terrible judge of age, but I am guessing he was about 4 years old. With his parents nearby, Eli did manage trek down some of the hills by himself. Check out his bike!

Three new songs in less than a month from Cape Ann’s most prolific songwriter

Allen Estes is on a roll!  Just in the last week, he’s written 2 new songs.  And last month he premiered this gem, recorded for his show Local Music Seen that will air later this month.  (If you were at the Docksiders’ benefit on March 31 you heard the song in this video).

Allen is Fly Amero’s guest tonight at the Rhumb Line at 8pm, so head on down and request one of his new songs!

Later in the evening, check out local drummer Dennis Monagle (see him battle it out on drums with the Docksiders here) as he welcomes Jeremy Parker, Justin Piper and John Aruda for some Organ Funky music at Minglewood.

You can start your evening out by singing at the Annie at 7pm.

But before you go out, be sure to catch Orville Giddings on  Local Music Seen at 6:30 on Cape Ann TV Channel 12.

So it’s a great night of music in Gloucester starting at 6:30.  See full music lineup here.

PREACHER JACK & WILLIE ALEXANDER… hosted by T MAX

PREACHER JACK & WILLIE ALEXANDER… hosted by T MAX
Two Legends Share the Stage at the Dog Bar on Saturday April 14
T Max also releases his new CD, Shake!

On stage Willie Alexander is knockin’ out “Life is the Poem,” one of the many unique sound-pieces from his recent Vincent Ferrini album and props it up alongside his older classic tunes. Willie states that everything these days is in Ab, Bb, or Eb, as he tickles the keys and rolls through lines of poetry that include “Looking for the North Shore”—I think he found it.
Preacher Jack cranks up his ebony and ivory with the feeling of a modern-day Moses—both visually and communicatively. Jack has that steady pounding left-hand downbeat that pulsates the boogie into the woogie. Praise the Lord. Preacher declares love is a big responsibility—and that God doesn’t like bad rock ‘n’ roll.
The Great Alexander joins the Preacher on the same piano stool. Willie’s right hand is beepin’ while Jack’s left is boppin’, and the audience refuses to let this moment in history stop.

WHY I OUGHTA…………….

WHY I OUGHTA…………….

The three Stooges Movie opens this weekend. I was suprized when I watched the trailer. The three actors playing the Stooges seemed to fit their roles well. The trailer is pretty funny over all. Checkout the scene at the 1:22 mark. I wonder if this ever happened to Joey?. Very Funny in my opinion.

Can’t wait to hear FOB Frank’s opinion on it. He has a degree in Stoogeology.
