In Case You Missed it.
I took this Video in may of 2009 of a couple of Outward Bound Sailboats trying to row against the Tide at the Blynman Bridge. They gave it a great try. Unfortunately, they had to turn back and hang out in the Harbor for a couple of hours until the Tide turned.

great video! i did one of these sailing trips in the keys when i was in college. great experience, never had to deal with the wrath of the blymnan canal though…lol

So close . . . but they really did end up being outward bound, and tired I’m sure.

Anyone who has done any boating around here knows the Cut Bridge can be a bear when the tides and wind are against you. I went thru it in a small Boston Whaler and it was like being in a washing machine. Refracting waves. I did an Outward Bound course in Maine. Good Experience.
