Very tough choice for me…one can always get warmer by piling on sweaters, blankets, etc., but it is much more difficult to get cooler (especially without A/C at home!). Can the answer be C – Neither?

Love New England in any season except Mud Season. Love Winters because they’re unique to us. We have amazing winter storms.

I choose both! I love all four seasons unconditionally, even with their shortfalls and even being overdue to burst a big ole baby. 🙂

I’m a former Cape Ann resident currently living in Louisiana. I’m here for the summer, so I must say this whole brouhaha over the weather never ceases to amaze and amuse me. When I first moved down South, I quickly discovered that there are only two seasons: “Hot” and “Hotter.” The peak of the summer doesn’t even kick in until August and September down there, which is usually also hurricane season. I’ll never forget the first time I drove my daughter to school on a fifty-degree day and actually saw the teachers directing traffic while wearing fur coats. “Buncha sissies,” I snorted. Now I’m up here for the summer listening to all this talk of this weekend’s heat wave and “cooling centers” and “misting stations” and the like. Not for nothing, y’all, but this is wicked mild compared to the Dante’s Inferno that is Central Louisiana on a daily basis. The state is so chronically impoverished that even the slightest suggestion of spending money on a “cooling center” would be met with hoots of derision. I keep switching back and forth between cities picking up the weather updates on my cellphone and the heat index at my house has stayed consistently triple digits. But would I trade it for shoveling snow and having no place to park? No, I have come to appreciate going down to the mailbox to fetch my Christmas cards in a tank top. This year, I decided that the best approach would be to shuttle back and forth and enjoy the best of both worlds. I love Cape Ann with all my heart, but I am absolutely all set with snow!!!
