The building in the left where it says “PICTURE” is the former Gray’s Hardware building which has recently been torn down and rebuilt. You can see the same window frames  in 1910 as it was 100 years later in 2010.

Right back at YA!, Ed Collard

Ed Collard’s an all around nice guy and does some great stuff that goes unnoticed for the City of Gloucester.

BUT!

He can “Bust’em” with the Best! But. Can he take it?

Here’s a not to fictional typical conversation between Joey(the female character in this movie) and Ed Collard (the man sitting at the desk). I’ve personally witnessed a few of these.

Cape Ann Skeptics To Meet November 16th

image

Welcome to Cape Ann Skeptics

We are a group of people interested in exploring the world with a skeptical point of view.

One definition of skepticism is "rational, critical, and scientific thinking." We are not cynics nor contrarians. Rather, we are people who look at the world rationally.

Skeptics in the Pub

There are Skeptics in the Pub meetings around the world. It’s an opportunity for skeptics and those who want to learn more about skepticism to gather and share ideas.

The third Skeptics in the Pub is on November 16 at 6:00PM. We are meeting at the Dog Bar, 65 Main St. Gloucester.

Chickity Check It! North Shore Kid

Maybe all the moms and dads out there already know about this and I’m late to the game but just in case they aren’t in the know- this is IMO the definitive guide to what to do with your kids each week if you live North of Boston.

It is comprehensive and very easy to navigate.  I’ve never seen such a well laid out and easy to understand calendar of things to do format on the web as this one.

I rarely get days off this time of year but when I do there are often times the Mrs and I will look at each other and ask “what do you want to do?”  My response 9 times out of 10-“I dunno, what do you want to do”

Let North Shore Kids be your guide and ease the pressure of finding great things to do with your family each and every week.  I’ll be adding in a link to the weekend pics roundup as well.
