Here is Johnny Mondello’s lobster red lobster skiff. Johnny built a plywood setting table for his traps so when he hauls them up he can place them on that plywood setting table to clean them out and rebait them. This is the perfect little skiff to fish the rocks (also known as fishing the bushes) when the lobsters are in tight to shore.

Do you have an upcoming event, special sale, or something you want to promote?
First off if you are a Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce member take ten minutes of your time and write out a press release and send it off in an email to the Chamber. Do you know they send out weekly email blasts that gets sent to a ton of people? Take advantage!
Then send the same press release here to GoodMorningGloucester for free. It only makes sense to get the word out to as many people as possible.
Here is the first in a new series titled- “Gloucester Doors”

Nick Novello was kind enough to forward me a few pics of this tuna that Jeremiah Nicastro landed on 50 lb test and a striper rod.

“We were in the Rhumbline Striper Tourney and only landed a 24 lb Bass. We did get lucky on this 100+ pound Football Tuna However.
Jeremiah was on the rod, and I was on the wheel for an hour and a half on Saturday. 50lb Test on a striper set up, Shimano Baitrunner 6500 on a Penn Slamer 30-50 class rod. It was quite the fight and a pretty cool to hoist it over the rail!
Enjoy!”
The bar is hugggggggge. It’s starting to really take shape. Luis told me that the bar will seat 18.
I dig the warm colors they are using. It will be a welcoming dining experience in the dead of winter when everything is cold and gray.
