Elizabeth is actually cash flow positive after you account for all of the incentives,State and Federal tax breaks and Mass Solar Loan Program. Her system in just two months which have been particularly cloudy and rainy have exceeded projections by 14%.
She chose born and raised Gloucesterite Tim Sanborn’s Cazeault Solar and Home and has nothing but great things to say about the process and the results.

A couple of years ago, because of research I was doing about Gordon Parks in Gloucester and thankfully Joey posted on Good Morning Gloucester, I was able to interview Manny and Joanna Carrancho. Manny and his family spent considerable time giving me a detailed account of earlier events in their lives. They shared treasured historic photos and first hand knowledge and were a delight. Part 2 photographs continue with a town procession from the state pier to the church.
In honor of the annual Crowning Feast of the Holy Spirit which begins tonight, today’s Gloucester Motif Monday is a legacy one.
Good Morning Gloucester is an indisputable platform for outreach and community. This week I’ll feature photographs from a souvenir picture album in Manny’s collection as they feature Our Lady of Good Voyage and one of the Madonna statues. The photographs are from a booklet: Coronation Our Lady Of Good Voyage, produced with cooperation of the Portuguese Daily News and photography by Hollywood Studio, New Bedford, MA. You will see the Our Lady statue on the vessel Gil Eannes with Bishop Don Manuel Salguiero. Its special arrival is met by a town procession led by Arch Bishop Wright and dignitaries at the State Pier. Twelve fishermen were selected to greet them. Let us know if you recognize family in the photographs. Were you there?
news edit: Brenda Mason Budrow writes that the little girl in one photo is Mary Jean (Ribeiro) Mason, her mom. Thanks, Brenda!

More photos to come.

In this video we talk to Sash Ludwig and Craig Dulong about their real world financial experience and results after the one year anniversary of having life long Gloucester Resident Tim Sanborn’s Cazeault Solar installed at their home in Lanesville.

This is the Solar Panel Design Tim Came Up With For Sash and Craig’s House-
Actual chart of Sash and Craig’s energy production using Cazeault Solar which produced more electricity than they consumed over this past year-
They actually get checks for their solar production in addition to having not paying for electricity over the course of the year. Cazeault Solar estimations of what their system would produce were actually conservative and the energy produced was 13% more than they had estimated when they worked up the numbers. They beat the estimates by 13%
Check out the first part of this Alternative Energy Series With Tim Sanborn At Cazeault Solar in the video from this post-
It was great to finally meet you in person. You do such good work in and for the community!
I regret that what I did not say about Tim was that although we wanted solar, we bought Tim. It was Tim that sold us- we already knew we wanted the system but it was his integrity, transparency, enthusiasm and knowledge that convinced us to go with Tim and Cazault. It was the best decision we could have made because not only has he continued to service us and our system but we have become friends and I want to introduce him to as many people as possible to get more solar systems going on Cape Ann. It is where we need to be!
In reflection of the piece you shot I hope that was conveyed- that was the most important thing I wanted to say and somehow we got off course.

Hi Joey, There was a gray seal pup rescue at Captain Hooks this morning. He was okay, just exhausted. He came off the river at high tide and then crossed the street to Captain Hooks. Fire Dept and Animal Control came and then the woman is Marine Biologist from NOAA that used to rescue seals who just happen to be driving by. So they wrapped him in a blanket. Put it in the woman’s Subaru and took it to the top of Hodgkins where the Animal stranded Coordinator lives near by and she’ll make sure that he goes back to river at high tide. The woman from NOAA said the seal was probably 45-50 days old.
Please leave your comment on this post as far as what you’d like to see on it.
Obviously I’ll include marine forecasts, live radar, Gloucester tides. Also I was thinking about a direct dial to The Gloucester Harbormaster’s office as well as Coast Guard Station Gloucester, maybe a link to the HarborWalk site.
What say ye- Oh Salty Brethren Of The Sea? What would you like to see included?
How about a directory of local marinas and places where transient boaters could stay overnight?
