How long will he last?

I have always been a fan of Cam Newton since he entered the scene.

According to a news article earlier this morning, Cam Newton said: “Don’t believe the hype,” while walking on a treadmill. “You know what I’m saying? I never once — and I say this right now — I never once wanted to leave Carolina.”

Question begs, do you think he will last the entire season? Do you think he will stay or go once his year is up?

Let’s not forget in October 2017 when he was raked over the coals for being sexist.

How many people have the Pats signed just to see them go after a game or before the season has begun?

THANK YOU KRAFT FAMILY AND GOV BAKER! A Million N-95 Masks Are Coming From China—on Board the New England Patriots’ Plane

WSJ

The Massachusetts governor struck a deal for supplies but needed a way to transport them. The result was a tense saga and a shipment on the NFL team’s 767.

At 3:38 a.m. Wednesday morning, the New England Patriots’ team plane departed from an unusual locale: Shenzhen, China. On board the Boeing 767, in the cargo hold that used to be home to Tom Brady’s duffel bags, were 1.2 million N95 masks bound for the U.S.

Hannah Jumper is a Patriots Fan

Super Bowl Sunday and I cannot get down to Woods Hole to visit my parent’s graves to tell them about Brady’s shot at getting ring number five (they were wicked Pats fans) so I am adopting someone no longer with us who is a local.

Mom's mom was a big fan of Yaz but for some reason Mom liked #9 Rondo.

Hannah Jumper would have been 220 years old when the Patriots won their first Super Bowl. Everyone thinks of Hannah as a party pooper but I am willing to bet she would have cheered Vinatieri’s field goal to squish the Rams waving her hatchet around. I’m sure she would be wearing jersey Number 12 today and having a brew because time marches on, the Red Sox and the Patriots are World Champions several times over and Feather & Wedge Tavern is having a Super Bowl Party in Rockport.

Still can’t get used to it. The championships. A beer in a Rockport Tavern. What is the world coming to? 🙂

Hannah communed with me and besides rooting for Tom she also said the bongs at Boston Smoke Shop in Gloucester were wicked pissah.

Are you a fair-weather fan?

As we get ready for this years football season a thought came to mind. With all the drama surrounding Brady do you think we will lose some Pats fans? Or do you think it will make us love the Pats even more and support Belichick in this process?

The Road to the Show

You all know where this year’s Vince Lombardi Trophy is going to reside.  But, do you know where it came from…or how it was made?

ap216083071395

If you’re not so sure and have ever wondered….here you go.

Some simple facts first:

  • The trophy stands at 22 inches tall and weighs about 7 pounds.
  • It takes about 4 months to craft the beautiful trophy at Tiffany and Co.
  • Tiffany and Co. has been making the Vince Lombardi Trophy since the first Super Bowl.
  • The football on the trophy is regulation size (a fully inflated one at that).
