IT’S THE BIG DIG 2!!
So here’s the rescue I was waiting for! Finally we are getting dug out of here. With drifts as high as 8 feet, there was no access to Kilby St., until now. Sorry for the crappy flying, but it was very gusty up here!

Well, this was a video for last night, but it would never upload from my house before the power died. So enjoy! More storm coverage and aftermath to come!
If there’s one thing that pisses me off about the 4 or 5 weather apps I own on my iPhone, it’s that none of them ever make me laugh. “Really” you ask? “NO” dipstick, and nobody on this planet has ever thought that either. Well…until now that is.
Don’t get me wrong, I love me some weather and l love me some comedy. But for the life of me, I can’t figure out why a website dedicated to funny viral-videos would want to cash in on the weather app game. Isn’t weather hilarious enough on it’s own? Nothing says funny like a good ole’ life smashing storm. When a hurricane or tornado hits, I bet the app gets pretty gut busting’ funny on the quick.
I haven’t downloaded it yet, so I don’t know how amazingly hilarious this app is going to be. But I sure hope it pushes out some funny weather quirkiness like this:

This video was a true run-and-gun production. We had about 30 minutes to film the EMPIRE scenes, and about 1 hr for the DOG BAR scenes. The only crew on the shoot was me, and it was all hand held with on rigs, jibs, or gadgets. Paul, aka Pocket Tanya, is an amazing self-producing artist from Gloucester. He has endless energy while performing live, and develops a true connection with his audience at every performance. Paul writes, sings, raps, and produces some amazing tracks. With an amazing mix of 80’s, funk, pop, and hip hop, he somehow upholds all of those styles while creating his sound he calls “Junkie Pop.” If you ever get the chance, get out and support local artists like Pocket Tanya!
Yes, my good friends, it’s time to party! This Friday Night at DOG BAR @ 9pm is the place and time. Please come out and support our local artist POCKET TANYA, and have a blast at a live showcase performance and JUNKIE POP music video world premiere. Filmed inside the landmark locations of EMPIRE DEPARTMENT STORE and THE DOG BAR, this puppy is all Gloucester through and through! The video was conceived on the fly, and shot in a matter of a couple of hours. It was done all hand held, and just me and Paul, no other crew. This is a true run-n-gun production. Pocket Tanya is an amazing performer-singer-songwriter that will entertain the shit out of you! Also on the ticket is Megan McKenzie, a soulful and powerful vocalist that you won’t want to miss. Then to hold it all together is the pumpkin’ DJ stylings of SUPA UGLY. Calling all LGBT, ESPN, WKRP, NCAA, AACP, AARP..EVERYBODY COME OUT AND HAVE SOME FUN!!!!(The video will be re-played throughout the night, so you won’t miss it if you come out a bit late.)

Moments after the crash, Â I get airborne and assess the situation form the air. Quickly, I could see the accident situation, cars involved, and the on-coming traffic backing up. If on call, I believe I could quickly asses similar situations for law enforcement, and the fire department. This would quickly, and in real time, give them the ability to predict traffic backups, and potential problems caused by these type of situations. In the case of a fire, I could in a matter of minutes, be airborne and show the potential threat of fire spreading, or additional breakouts form wind and fly away sparks. Just another day of flying above our fine city. (notice how the GPD and GFD have the situation, and the traffic, perfectly under control and flowing!)
