SFL’s Young Scientist Club will be meetingthis Friday, February 24th from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at Sawyer Free Library @ 21 Main Street.
This month’s meetings features the work of Kate Sampson, a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration(NOAA) Sea Turtle Stranding and Disentanglement Coordinator and Sphero Robots. The program is suitable for students 4th – 8th grade. Register HERE.
Although it later turned into a beautiful day, the clouds were a bit threatening when we drove down to Tuck’s Point in Manchester yesterday. I thought it was still pretty, especially the gazebo. Hasn’t it been a glorious start to vacation week for the school families?

Maria and her family have just kept reinventing this classic Gloucester Sicilian Bakery while retaining the authenticity of what made it so special in the first place.
Friends from New York were visiting for the day so we met them at the 525 in Magnolia for their new brunch! It was a great excuse to relax, laugh and enjoy our meals served by Stella (thanks Stella!). We had the quiche, breakfast tacos, eggs benedict and French toast. Oh yes, and then there was the coffee ……. Great take on brunch. The regular menu is also available. The Jazz Brunch will be returning in early April, so stay tuned. PS: it’s super easy to make online reservations! Thanks Erin, Paul, Jake and Keirsten! According to them (and ourselves): 100% recommended.

Our thoughts: Cameron Beavers
On the 1 year anniversary of Cam’s passing, as his wife & family, we want to remember & honor him today. Cam is in our thoughts every day, and forever in our hearts. We miss him more than words can ever say. He was the gift of a lifetime.

On Saturday, Appleton Farms at Maple Sugar Day. We were able to see the tapping of the trees and how they boil it. It smelt wonderful. Appleton Farms has beautiful trails as well. Very enjoyable and do not forget to shop in the farm store.
