Sister Time at Seaport Grille

As you may know, my sister and FOB Paula Ryan O’Brien came for a visit recently. Seaport Grille is one of her favorites for a satisfying meal so off we went. Lo and behold, we ran into another pair of favorite FOB sisters Jane and Martha (you can meet them at the Stage Fort Park Visitors Center in season) so I guess SISTERS was the theme. Adam was our efficient and friendly server. Paula loves the bang-bang shrimp and ordered onion rings to share. I had chicken scampi and Jim enjoyed a salad with scallops. For the sake of this blog, we HAD to try the Big Dig dessert extravaganza.

During the recent yo-yo temperature swings, with record highs and lows within a week, nature learns to cope.

WARM: Snowdrop flowers poke their heads up in case it’s spring
COLD: We can all appreciate the beauty when the freeze hits
WARM: Why not go for a February ocean sail at sunset in a tiny boat?
COLD: Same ocean – Beast of Burden slugging her way home
WARM: Deer romping in the field
COLD: “I was a bad boy. Can you get this chicken wire fence off my antler?”
WARM: Dejected? Find another rock if you aren’t invited to sun with the group
COLD: “I’m warming my hands”
WARM: “Very pleasant here on the railing”
COLD: If you have feathers, fluff up
WARM: If you’re a Gnome, hide in a tree trunk and wipe off the sweat
COLD: Nothing can beat the cold stare from our Mockingbird

NEC Champs! Congratulations ladies! On to Regionals next Sunday.

Another huge performance! Colby Rochford finished 6th today in the 600m at the MIAA Meet of Champions with a personal best time of 1:24.07. His 6th place in Massachusetts qualifies him for the New England Championships next Saturday

Amazing performances. Jayden Toppan 1st All State Champ in GHS history, Michael Toppan (2nd place All States), Morgan Pennimpede (2nd place States) & Bailee Militello top 6 in States. Congrats to all!

Confirmed State Tournament Games this week.

Beautiful Industry At Rockport Harbor

We took a walk along Rockport Harbor and noticed some pretty cool examples of “beautiful industry” (a thread on this blog that I used to enjoy very much). I thought you might like these as well. I found myself humming “Chain Gang”.
