Rockport Music presents a Virtual Music Series: Concert Window

Rockport Music announces a new virtual music series this summer entitled CONCERT WINDOW. Starting July 2, Rockport Music will present a weekly concert series. The series will feature performances from the Shalin Liu Performance Center stage, with a couple of special performances by artists from other locations. The Concert Window series includes a range of artists including the Grammy Award-winning Parker Quartet, renowned cello-piano duo David Finckel and Wu Han, the incomparable bass-baritone Davóne Tines, the spectacular pianist George Li, and more. Additionally, the series will highlight some of Cape Ann’s most popular local favorites like Mari Martin & the Lucky Boys, the Rum Runners String Band, and more to be announced. Dates subject to change.

Also, don’t miss Rockport Music Virtual Gala 2020—Our Gift of Music to the Community on Saturday, June 27 at 5 pm—with Grammy-nominated pianist Marc-André Hamelin in a spectacular performance of Schubert’s Sonata in B-flat major, D. 960, a special virtual duet by Artistic Director Barry Shiffman with Artistic Director Emeritus David Deveau, and a segment commemorating the 10th Anniversary of the opening of Rockport Music’s Shalin Liu Performance Center. As of today, the Atlantis Oceanfront Inn is officially reopen for business! We have implemented changes to our operations to ensue the safety of guest and employees that you can find on our website.

While some things will be different, we can assure you the things you have to come here at the Atlantis will be the same. (including the beautiful ocean view, the warm and dedicated staff, and those delicious cookies!)

While the Inn is officially open for the 2020 season today, we hope to reopen the breakfast cafe in the coming weeks once we receive the OK from the Governor.

Tonno Announces Inside and Patio Dining!

Tonno Gloucester plans to reopen next Wednesday June 24 for indoor and patio dining as part of Phase 2.2 in the COVID plan. This is very exciting news not just for Tonno but for all of us who think al fresco dining can be a little bit too fresco sometimes. You can use to make the online reservation.

Crystal Cottage Candies Opens on Washington Street

I am sure owners Chuck Newman and his sister Joanna Newman are saying “Finally!” to themselves now that their new shop at 184 Washington Street, Crystal Cottage Candies, has opened. They had planned to be open for Valentine’s Day but circumstances, including coronavirus stalled the debut until this week. They are billing themselves as Crystal Cottage Candies & More. In addition to candies, donuts, muffins and cakes; the “More” includes things like turkey legs, chicken wings, and a ham/potato dinner they plan to feature tonight. They are expecting to include florist services as well as a produce market, so keep your eye on that! They can be found on Facebook for updates etc.
