A Little Help Here? Flakey Fishing Boots.
Someone in this fine fishing village must have a fix for this. Finn asked for a pair of fishing boots for Christmas. He wanted either xtratuf or Grundens. I searched kind of high and wide for a Youth pair in his size that wasn’t super expressive. I was psyched to find a pair at a pretty discounted rate…..and tucked them away until Christmas morning. As he unwrapped them and saw the label on the box he was pumped. He threw the box open…..and, well, not so much. While I ordered a Youth Size 5….what was in the box was a Child size 5 that are, no joke, like six inches long. They are the cutest little things you’ve ever seen….but, they weren’t going to work for Finn.
So, long story short, as the weather has turned nice and Finn is fishing as much as possible, I remembered that I “owed” him a new pair in his proper size. We found an awesome pair of Grundens and he’s in love with them! He’s probably worn them about 7 times and suddenly they are peeling and flaking like crazy. At first I thought it was a film of salt on them that could be wiped off….but, it’s actually more like a layer is literally deteriorating. So, my question is, can anyone recommend a product that will bring some life back to them? I appreciate any help and ideas! Thanks in advance!

Capt. Carlo’s Deck Open for Lunch or Dinner!
We are so excited to see so many restaurants opening back up! Capt. Carlo’s deck is one of our favorite outdoor spots, so we made our lunch reservation online as requested to be among their first return customers of the season. We messaged them on Facebook so the online reservation and confirmation were easy and painless. Here’s the link. Or you can call 978-283-6342.
You are requested to mask up enter by the back deck area and be ready to place your order prior to seating. I believe this is to limit contact and provide efficient service while obeying new protocols and procedures. I suggest you think ahead about your seating location if you are given a choice since the weather can vary. You are not encouraged to change your seat due to sanitizing measures but you can be accommodated if needed.
Their system is to use table signs to signal the need for the server, again I believe to limit contact unless necessary. That seemed to work well for us. In fact, we used the sign to hold down items blowing in the breeze and almost immediately a server appeared! Yikes. New procedures will take time for us all to get used to.
We ordered Lobster BLT and Buffalo Chicken Wrap which were delicious as always! So happy to sit with a drink and our meal as the deck filled up with families, couples, friends all eager for lunch and socialization. Thank you to all the restaurant staff working so hard to make these new rules work for the safety and enjoyment of us all.
Seaport Grille Is Now Open For Outdoor Dining!
At long last, we can announce that we are now officially reopen for outdoor dining! We’ve missed our guests and community so much, and we look forward to welcoming you back to our restaurant. We invite you to reserve a table on the deck, try some new summer menu items or enjoy your Seaport Grille favorites!
