Did we have an earthquake that I missed? What’s up with these rocks unearthed, as though by themselves, on Eastern Point? Anyone know? It isn’t all rocks, just some. Curious.

I hope it is just wishful thinking on his part, if that is the case.

Pushed back from edge of pavement in anticipation of snow plowing? The ones that weren’t moved look to be quite a bit further away from edge of pavement. Moved ones look like they were pushed straight back with a machine. Skid steer or loader. You can see the grass and dirt heaved over and piled up on top of rocks.

The rocks were moved to make it easier for snow plows to clear the roads. At one stage last winter Eastern Point Blvd was single lane. Thanks to John McNiff who serves on the Association of Eastern Point Residents for coordinating these efforts as well as for installing markers next to the fire hydrants.

Ditto. It had the makings of a great supernatural mystery.

Usually this time of year Santa needs to put on the part timers for help at the North Pole. Many of these Part Time Elves live in trees, under rocks etc. MY guess is that a few of them got the call from Santa and pushed the rocks out of their way to be picked up by Santa’s holiday express. I’ve seen this occurrence only once in my life when I was a young boy.
Merry Christmas!
