The seine boat SANTA MARIA was found capsized at her berth in Harbor Cove Friday morning. It took the Coast Guard, Fire Department and volunteers to right and drain her.
Apparently, the boat was improperly made fast so that the rising tide hung her up and capsized her.

If anyone would like to see a dory, they will be racing against Canada tomorrow morning (Sat 6/19/2015) in the North Channel around ten am. The races are fun to watch from the state fish pier.
Those seine boats are practicing for Fiesta races which are off Pavilion Beach next week.
