TheIsland From Lukas Struppe and Matilda Grow

Lukas writes-
Hello Joey,

My name is Lukas Struppe and I am a student at Gloucester High School. My friend, Matilda Grow, have produced a short documentary on the influence the waterfront has on Gloucester’s culture. We were wondering if you could share it to the rest of Gloucester for us through your website. If you could let me know of your decision of posting it or not that would be great, but I will send the link to you anyway right now.

Thank you for your time and consideration!

Sincerely,

Lukas Struppe

  1. Thanks for sharing Lukas and Mathilda. This was thoughtfully produced and very inspiring. There is something about Gloucester and I think you are right, those who live here are just as shaped and defined by the water that embraces us on all sides as the city itself. Very grateful to have a chance to see all the historic images that you dug up at Cape Ann Museum and the Peabody Essex Museum. Looks like you must have had fun creating, too. Enjoy your summer and hope you get to spend a lot of time in, around and on top of the water! Rebecca
