If the restaurant owners and merchants like the idea, I think it would be absolutely fabulous to have a block party every Saturday night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The last block party was so well done , I really enjoyed all the entertainment and good vibes. Can that be achieved every week ? I think it can get stale IMO.

So…either 4 city funded block parties, or closing down Main (Sorry, businesses slightly off Main) and putting it on the business owners to schedule and pay for entertainment themselves?

They do it on Wednesday during the tourist season here in Madeira Beach, Florida. I guess the tourists like it, but it’s a pain in the butt to residents who want to use the street to get somewhere! You might like it for a couple of weeks, but will soon learn to avoid Main Street on Saturdays!
