How could I not agree with Kim on the ID? We have juncos in abundance, and although they prefer to feed on the ground that’s not going to happen this year. With nine feet of snow it’s like there is no ground.
That’s a white column astern of him. 1/3200 sec. Got lucky with this one.

Beautiful photo. The black-eyeed junkos were swarming my friend’s feeders too. The snow is so high, we can now ‘stand above’ our feeders to fill them.
