Yes. Corliss Landing is a wonderful spot in our great city. It is to be enjoyed by all. Funny though, I seem to remember it being a much larger area. I would like to see the deed and make sure there hasn’t been any encroachment happeneing down there. It was generously donated by the Corliss family for ALL to enjoy!

I’m looking into issues mentioned here concerning Corliss Landing. It’s clearly public property.

Thanks Fred, there is a sign there stating that it is public landing from the City of Gloucester. Thanks again

I’m going there tomorrow with my camera on the way to work. When I was a City appointed volunteer on the Public Landings Committee in the mid 1980’s, I photographically documented every public landing. We also had unofficial surveys made by North Shore Survey and drawings made by architect Jonathan Poore.

Fred Thank you We need to keep all public land open for everyone to enjoy. That’s why people donate land so we can enjoy this beautiful scenery for years to come. It really makes me mad if people think they can take this land and use for them selves.
