  1. Empty Bowls Challenged Hearts
    By Peter A. Todd

We again unite as Family & Friends
For our annual challenge of our hearts
To reach out and fill every empty bowl
Admiring the talents of each donors art
From the touch of children to our seniors love
Each bowl with faith in its design
By praise to those who guide in Spirit above
Sharing the need of the hungry and its reality defined
Let’s make this the 13th.year a great celebration
With the Silent Auction to end with great success
May this gathering be of great jubilation?
By having this night of challenges be one of the best
From the artistry of Betty Lou Schlemm to the talents of Senator Tarr
To the magic touch of the Godmother ,or her friends near or far
Come one come all for a time you’ll never forget

  2. We are so blessed to live in such a caring community. The Town really turns out for this wonderful event every year and everyone has such a great time. Too bad we live in a time that makes it necessary to even have a food pantry, but thank goodness we in Gloucester take care of our folks!

  3. We had a great time, and my son was thrilled to find the bowl he had painted earlier in the year. The turnout for this event was phenomenal, there were a lot of wonderfully decorated bowls to choose from and the food was fantastic! Thanks Open Door!
