I'm Marty Luster, a retired attorney and politician. In 2010 my wife, mother-in-law, dog and I relocated from Central NY to Gloucester. I hope my photographs and poetry(?) reflect my love for this place and her people. My picture-poem posts can be seen at http://matchedpairs.wordpress.com and selected black and white images can be found at http://slicesoflifeimages.wordpress.com View all posts by Marty Luster

Gloucester’s Peterson’s Pit
Through winding road , and at its end
Sits a beautiful cabin small
Encircled by the water that blends
Is a pit to swim for all
I can imagine all the fun
That was had there through the years
Basking beneath God’s sun
With all Nature’s animals to hear
The laughter of children as they play
As the hotdogs cook over the fire
Gathered together this fine day
Let the love nature be your desire
As the sun settles in the West
Let God’s great gifts stay with you
For truly he knows what is best
His gift of Nature is Heaven’s preview

Too many scones to try but I’m working on it. It is the fresh croissants with ham and swiss cheese slobbering out the side that goes nicely with a latte finished off with another croissant with chocolate goo inside.
Heaven for me: After they knock down the Cape Ann Tool Company the owners here make a second store, Pigeon Cove Grind.

I’ll second that.
