Hi Joey,
I am a big fan of goodmorninggloucester!
I was wondering if you could post something on your Good Morning Gloucester site.
Habitat for Humanity North Shore is hosting a “Hoof it For Habitat” 5K road race, 1 Mile Walk on September 30, 2012 along Good Harbor Beach.
We have created a Facebook event page: http://www.facebook.com/events/430792220301037/.
Our website is www.habitatforhumanity-northshore.com. Runners can register directly on our site.
We are also looking for sponsors! We have VERY sexy runner’s shirts with all sponsor logos on the back of the shirt.
Our North Shore Habitat affiliate merged this past year with our “sister” Cape Ann Affiliate, and we are very excited to serve the entire Cape Ann Area!
Habitat For Humanity – North Shore is 100% volunteer based, building affordable homes for people who could not otherwise afford them!
Thanks Joey,
Jackie McKenna

Hi Joey,
Thought Good Morning Gloucester readers might like a chance to find out the value of their treasures at the first annual What’s It Worth? Appraisal Night at Second Glance on Saturday, September 8, from 7 to 9 p.m. For just $10 you can find out the value of up to three items.
Appraisers for the evening include Colleene Fesko, as seen on PBS, a Boston-based, independent consultant and broker, specializing in 19th and 20th century American and European fine art, David P. Neligan, an antiques shop owner in Essex, MA, a licensed, bonded, and experienced auctioneer with wide-ranging knowledge of antiques, fine art, and all types of personal property, and Bryan McMullin, a graduate gemologist, a certified appraiser with the International Society of Appraisers and a founding editor of the New England Antiques Journal.
All proceeds benefit the hunger-relief programs of The Open Door. Wine tasting and light refreshments will be served. Store is located at 2 Pond Road in Gloucester, and will be open for both the event and shopping.

Thank you for helping spread the word!
Maritime Saturday 9am to 2pm with the Phyllis A Marine Association at Gloucester Marine Railways, Rocky Neck
I know there are a ton of great things going on this weekend and wanted to add one more. The Phyllis A Marine Association will be having a Maritime Saturday over at the Gloucester Marine Railways, Rocky Neck from 9am to 2pm. Would be a great chance for people to learn more about this historic boat and the effort that is being made to get her back out on the waves. You also can get a chance to hear about her from the last Captain, Richard Arnold, who has some great stories about her and who’s father commissioned the boat to be built back in 1925 . Throw in a great view from the docks of the harbor with all of the Schooners around and Gloria’s awesome seafood chowder and it would make for a great visit! All this and I haven’t even gotten to the fact the Schooner Adventure will be docked out with us as well!
Hope to see you all there and hope everyone enjoys the festival!
Hi,
I’m preparing for two events.
