My Grandfather, Austin Burt O’Hara was a mate on the Gertrude L. Temaubalt, not sure of spelling, in 1938, name on immigration list,since he was a Canadian.

Gertrude L Thebaud raced the Canadian Bluenose in 1938 — the last of the fishermen’s races. Do you suppose your grandfather was aboard then? The book, A Race for Real Sailors, has a very good account of the races. I believe the Cape Ann Museum has the book.
