A new shop on Bearskin Neck is looking to promote the work of Roger Babson and the Babson Boulders located in Dogtown Commons. For those who don’t know, the 24 sayings that were carved into boulders in Dogtown during the Great Depression were Babson’s philosophy of what needed to be done to get out of the depression. With sayings such as Get a Job, Use Your Head, Never Try, Never Win, the sayings are both inspirational and sarcastic. Dogtown Philosophy is trying to get back to the basics, saying that the problems that caused the Great Depression are the same ones that put us in the recession we are in today.
