Hope you like it. This one is gong in my favorites pile. I may even blow it up for myself.
to me it’s very atmospheric with both the boats in the fore and background somewhat visible even though it’s very early morning. It was a 4 second exposure, f4.5, iso 200.

Gloucester’s Dawning Edge
Sitting and admiring our inner harbor
I can vision the fishermen of Gloucester’s past
Names that are now etched at the harbors edge
Of the fisherman’s statue in sunlght cast
Our Harbor embraced by the colors of our nation
With the many flags that stand along the rails
This Island of Gloucester, God’s gift of creation
With its fishing boats, skiffs and sails
Street lights that mirror years long ago
Tourists and Gloucesterite’s strolling by
Dogs of all breeds chasing at their owners heels
Under God’s clouds of cotton puffed sky
This walkway is filled with marble and stone
Of statues and markers of the hero’s of yesterday
Fishermen and soldiers who made Gloucester their home
Now a place for adults to enjoy , and children to play

Joey, This is one of your best. Just so much to see and the light is spectacular!
Thanks for a great party Saturday.

You’ve got all of my favorite things in here. Predawn, no wind, the harbor is like glass. My favorite part of going fishing or going sailing and you sleep on the boat to get an early start. Get up and take a leak off the stern and the harbor looks like an entirely different world. Almost wish the sun and the wind could just stay down for another hour or two.

I used the camera I bought around Christmas time which I LOVE.
The Sony NEX-5N
It’s much smaller than a large DSLR but has a large sensor which was what was able to gather enough of the details to make this shot possible.
I absolutely LOVE it!

Very nice shot, Joey. I may order a print to add to my existing collection of 3 Joey C. prints.
Oh wait, am I still mad at you? Can’t remember.

Fantastic, Joey, you have outdone yourself.
Just the way I remember the harbor in early, early morning on our way out to go tuna fishing. I just set it as wallpaper for my computer and will definitely use it as a study for a new painting.

Fantastic, Joey, you out did yourself. Just set it as my wallpaper so I can look at it every day and remember the harbor as it was early, early morning on our way out on tuna trips.
