or sliding………we used to start the old Flexible Flyer on Madison Square, turn onto Madison Ave. and end up on Madison Court. Of course that was in the 1950s when there was still plenty of snow on the roads after the plows went by.

We used to go out and go sliding when I was a kid. Anyone remember when They’d close specific hilly streets because no one could get up or down them? Great sliding down Summit, Trask and Millett!

Yes! How’s about designating certain “good sliding streets/hills” for kids (and kids at heart) to slide on? It’s cheap thrills everyone in snowy climes should have in their memories!!

Sled’in. Youse guys are in Glosta. Drop the “g”. Yup, Millet, and if you could make the turn, down to Cedar. Cedar St was dirt road back then. Afta we’d go In for Cocoa and watch the “Donna Reed Show”, “Father knows Best” etc.
