Week 12

"Grasshoppers, and Caterpillars, and Snails, oh my! The garden is flourishing; full of veggies, fruits, and insects! Where there is food you’ll find lots of critters. This week I had some very cool critter sitings– as well as lots of veggie picking!"

  1. The caterpillar looks like it might be that of a Black Swallowtail butterfly, a gorgeous creature. If you put the caterpillar and some of the plant in a jar with holes in the cover, you can carefully watch the chrysalis form and then the butterfly’s emerging. Of course you’ll let the butterfly free as soon as that happens.
