My family lived in this house from October 1961 through August of 1967. When we moved in, the downstairs bathroom and the living room were lavender, and the floors were very cold, highly polished black slate. We children still make a pilgrimage to see it whenever we are back in Massachusetts. On one of those pilgrimages, my sister and I met Maxine and she kindly gave us a tour to see the marvelous work they’ve done. Heartiest congratulations and thanks for saving and improving this wonderful house.
