The dories get a 35 minute head start but one would think my kayak could catch up to them by the time we arrive and greasy pole but no. I only pass a couple of dories and those are the doubles where the couple is yelling at each other and Jay Albert in a safety boat is trying to coax them towards Gloucester Harbor instead of rowing off to Cape Cod.
Results, Blackburn 2010 Joe Sanfillipo and Jeff Muise in a Two seater Banks Dory came in second place (two seat dory) at 4 hours 1 minute 43 seconds. That’s amazing.
