There were a bunch of people taking sailing lessons off Niles Beach the other morning, and it was amazing to see how quickly the instructors raced to the rescue to save moored boats from being smashed into by wayward, totally out of control sailboats. It was pretty chaotic and fun to watch. No one was injured and no boats were hit, at least while I was watching.

Hey Paul – where have you been? I really miss not seeing you around the gallery. It’s been ages. Hope everything is ok. Call or email me off blog when you can. I love Niles Beach. I try to walk there every morning that I can and swim a little, catch a few rays, and shoot whatever is going on. I checked out Joey’s new video camera – its sweet and takes great video, and its so stable even Ed would get great results.

Reminds me of one of my sister’s stories of teaching a nephew to ride a bike. A Tuesday church lot, 900 space parking lot empty except for one car. Dan circled the lot without the training wheels but like a moth to a flame took direct aim and smacked the car head on.
Dan: “I want that car moved.”

Ok, well maybe it’s not that stable and magical. I’m afraid Ed would have to shut off the video before putting the camera in his pocket, or dropping it on the ground. I’m still laughing over the story about your nephew and the car – sounds like a great America’s Funniest Home Video clip, if it had been captured on video.
