Jessica Scranton came to photograph Peter along with other scenes and people in Gloucester last fall for the May 2011 In Flight magazine for AirTran.
I contacted her and she graciously allowed GMG access to the photos to share with our community after hearing of Peter’s untimely death on his lobster boat just weeks before the article is to be placed on all of Air Tran planes for the Month of May.
You can see more of her work at her website and blog here

When it hits… These images are so recent. For those of us who had the true pleasure of knowing Peter for decades do not realize time has played a role. When he comes to mind, my own first though is that of a much younger man, picking bait off our gurry belt. With a grand smile he would wave to the cutters through dirty panes of glass. They would all aknoledge by rapping their fillet knives on the steel fram of the cutting bench.
