Joseph Napolitano
Replacing Sill
Work is underway on the restoration of the Museum’s exterior.
In this photo, general contractor Joseph Napolitano, of NAPCO, Inc., is replacing a sill on the building’s north side. In the coming weeks, other carpentry repairs and structural work will be completed.
The building is prepped and primed and ready for a new coat of paint.
Partial funding for this project is provided by the Massachusetts Cultural Council through its Cultural Facilities Fund and the Tower Family Funds.
Donations welcome. This is a big project!!

Justin Quinn to Host Dave Saves Blues Party Thursday Night @ The Rhumb Line
Nov. 4, 2010
Eeny meeny mighty mofo, see this band but don’t eat tofu, if it gasses let it go, eeny meeny maybe go. If you don’t , you may possibly be insane, or , at best, a Republican. You may wake up in the rehab ward of Addison Gilbert and Sullivan Hospital, feeling homicidal just cuz you heard about it later…
These guys, these katz, are really sumphin’, a virtual spin-cycle of da blooz in it’s many configurations; I should know… I played with dese guys last Sunday, and I’m still lickin’ my wounded brainstem. Looks just like the Tingler, only wavin’ a white flag.
So, allow me to introduce Mr. Justin Quinn, Harmonicat, vogelizer, and frontman. Dives deep into the Well of Souls. Knows his stuff. He’s bringin’ some of my favorite guys with him. Like Per (pronounced “pear”) Hanson, drumblistipus octopi, and Jon Ross, on gritar. Both these guys have toured with James Cotton, Ronnie Earl, and Duke Robillard. They are scary good or “sick”, as Mark Earley says. He may even show up to see for hisself. Of course, Greg T. and his hat will be there, and me, too, hiding behind the yellow police tape. Cut off your toetag and make it down while you still can.
Here is a sample of Justin Quinn. The joint will be rockin.

Things To Do – Underwater Photographer Andrew Martinez Presentation Nov 15th
Olivia Rugo Writes-
Hi Joey,
I work for NOAA Fisheries Service and am starting up a free evening lecture series for the general public. Our first lecture is coming up and is local underwater photographer Andrew Martinez. Andy is from Wenham and has been diving in New England waters for more than 40 years. He has compiled one of the most extensive collections of high quality images of marine life behavior from New England to Eastern Canada. His book, Marine Life of the North Atlantic, is considered the best guide to this region and is now in its 4th edition with more than 200 new photographs. The presentation will be held Monday, November 15, 7-8:30 pm at NOAA Fisheries Service’s Northeast Regional Office at 55 Great Republic Drive, Gloucester.

Dory Rowing Is A 12 Month Activity
The International Dory Race Committee would like everyone to know that there are still two freshly painted practice dories in the water and available for use all through the winter.
For more information and to sign up or sign up a friend or loved one as a holiday gift you can check out the International Dory Website here (a full year membership is only $60)
Membership is $60 for 1 year, and runs January to January. Membership includes use of committee dories, loaner equipment, and race and committee event invitations. To become a member, download the membership form here.
Erik Dombrowski writes-
Many thanks to the people who volunteered some time to haul the race dories last weekend. An excellent turn-out by our members allowed us to finish by 9 AM and make light work of putting the dories to rest for the winter.
Please keep in mind, though that we currently have 2 practice boats with freshly painted bottoms that will be in the water to be rowed all winter. We don’t want to discourage winter rowing by true iron men & women like Damon & Hilary!!!
See you all soon.

YOKO – Good Morning Gloucester Pet of the Week
YOKO – Good Morning Gloucester Pet of the Week
My name is Yoko and my brother and I are here at the Cape Ann Animal Aid (CAAA) in Gloucester.
We are three-month-old pups who are outgoing and happy. Like most pups, we love to play
and play and then sleep and sleep. We only have one fault, our tails never stop wagging.
We are sweet and gentle. I think we are part Beagle. We weight about 11 pounds now and
will be medium when fully grown. Why don’t you stop down to the shelter located at
260 Main Street in Gloucester. The CAAA is a non-profit animal shelter dedicated to caring for
homeless cats and dogs. I am pretty certain if you come to visit me, you will want to adopt me.
I look a little too serious in this photo, but I promise to smile next time!
