Good Morning Gloucester From The Dock

My View of Life on the Dock

Last chance to see Boustrophedons (“…every other line is flipped, or reversed or mirrored”) group show at Flatrocks Gallery. Exhibition features 8 artists: Joan Benotti, Paul Cary Goldberg, Ann McArdle, Valerie Weigand McCaffrey, Nick Neyeloff, Conny Goetz Schmitt, Linda Lagano Sojda, and Juni VanDyke. The closing Reception and special event is Sunday September 16, 2-4pm
(installation views – the natural light and architecture were in sync today with the show’s theme.)

This Egret was so beautiful and we know that soon they will be heading south.

I thought I was going to get some cool kite flying shots when I drove by Good Harbor Beach one recent windy morning. Instead I found this adventure-seeker.

I guess you have to expect this to happen once in a while:

Did you know that Crossfit Cape Ann offers a discount for all current students?

The primary goal at CFCA is to help our members increase their capability, durability (both mental and physical) and most importantly longevity through consistent quality movement in a fun and supportive environment. We have evolved over the years into what we’d consider more of a “lifestyle” crossfit gym. We focus on exercises that we feel have the best carryover to the demands of our member’s lives outside of the gym and less on competition or Crossfit as “sport”.

This Sunday, starting at 10:00 AM, volunteers from the Cemetery Advisory Committee, Clark’s Cemetery restoration crew, and the Cemetery Restoration Partnership will be working in Clark’s to right what we believe is the Josiah Stevens, Jr. monument. Josiah is a Civil War Veteran and has been knocked down for several years. The monument weighs approximately 1,980 pounds. Stop by and watch our crew at work, learn about Clark’s Cemetery or spend time volunteering.
