Missing Dog: Rubio

Rubio has been missing since 6pm last night!

Rubio was last seen near the end of Riverside Avenue (around 10:30pm) near the forge. He is very scared and will run away from you if you try and chance him. Please if you see him, do not approach him. Please call Animal Control or Cape Ann Animal Aid 978-283-6055

Let’s get him home safe!

Cape Ann Museum After Hours

Tonight was the first of many CAMafterhours. Art, Music, Wine & Cheese. What more can you ask for?

Cheese & wine from Savour Wine & Cheese and music from The Modern Kitchen Trio.

Tonight was  a success so be on the lookout for future dates from Cape Ann Museum. And don’t miss the Margaret Fitzhugh Browne exhibit going on now through October!

Jones River Fans

Beautiful sunset at Jones River Marsh tonight. I was able to take a few pictures and meet a fun Gloucester couple.

Meet John & Colleen. They both love taking photographs, sunsets, and the local Gloucester music scene.  They hadn’t heard about GMG, but I have a feeling they will be dedicated GMG readers from now on!

Causeway Never Disappoints

I can always count on Causeway for a consistently delicious meal. It’s a great go to place for family visiting from out of town. The seafood selection is great, portions are large, and the staff always friendly.  Well worth the wait! Perfect for a rainy day like today.
We started with the amazing clam chowder (the fish chowder is great too!) and shared the mussels appetizer, by the time our entrees arrived we were stuffed and came home with a lot of leftovers. Yay, no cooking for the rest of the week!

Here’s a shot of my leftover linguine with white clam sauce, it looks almost untouched! Check out all those clams!

Top Dog, Dog

I think Top Dog is becoming my favorite place for fried clams on Cape Ann. Their fried clams are very light, crispy and flavorful, the dogs are awesome too. It’s a great place for yummy summer food, people watching and taking a break from Bear Skin Neck shopping.

Snorkeling Plum Cove

Took advantage of this hot weather and did a little snorkeling at Plum Cove. Here are a couple videos, but I did learn two lessons:
1. Put charged batteries in the camera
2. Stay still longer
It feels like you’re not moving, but looking at the video it’s pretty fast. I also didn’t get much shot as the low battery kept shutting off the camera. I hope to get some better videos to share later this week.

We saw a winter skate, baby flounder, hermit crabs, and cunner fish.

I found this awesome Vintage Lisa Cobb/Saks Fifth Avenue lobster dress at a thrift store last night. I couldn’t pass it up! Originally, I wanted to add it to my online shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/Leeshalee (shameless plug), but now I’m having second thoughts and thinking of keeping it for myself! I have a Friend’s wedding in September and this dress would be perfect for their Maine Lobster Bake rehearsal dinner! Add a cute belt, strappy sandals and a September evening-Perfecto!
