It’s time to compete for the Oarmaster’s Cup.

Saturday, October 9th at 9 AM the International Dory Racing Committee will hold the annual Oarmaster’s Cup Race (solo dory race) to crown the best single dory rower in the land.  All members are welcome to compete, and the public is welcome to attend the races for some exciting waterfront entertainment!  (Rain date will be Sunday Oct 10th)

The course will start off the end of the dock at Maritime Gloucester and travel out around Ten Pound Island, then back to the start (approximately 1.75 miles).  The race dories are provided by the IDRC, but unlike the other races, this race allows individual rowers to compete head to head in a time trial with the best time winning rights to the Cup.  Refreshments will follow the races offering a chance for the winner to soak up the admiration of his peers.  Don’t miss this battle of skill and endurance on the water in Gloucester Harbor.

You’ll want to take advantage of this

One of the most important things to do in your home in my opinion… Remember to schedule a Dryer Vent Cleaning with CleanPro! Several years ago a neighbor helped fix an issue with our dryer. When I saw the amount of lint and debris that was inside the walls of my dryer vent I was horrified! I was initially worried about the fire hazard of course…..and then also the fact that it just isn’t sanitary.

CleanPro is offering a 10% discount on all Dryer Vent Cleaning this month.
