Fall Glory at Wingaersheek

Gloucester beaches are glorious regardless of the season. From lighthouse views across the water

to the horizon behind

And from the parking lot

  1. Beautiful shots a location I know very well views are breathtaking in all directions and like Donna said lighting is very nice. 🙂 Dave & Kim 🙂 Thanks Pat D post…

My uncle Lefty MacNeil used to life guard at Wingaersheek beach in the 1940’s according to mom since walked on. They lived in Bayview at this time think address was 904 Washington street next to Vic’s store then and he would drive his car over to the point by lighthouse, ANNISQUAM YACHT CLUB park it.

Swim across or take a boat across tides and currents are rough at times coming into this are from Ipswich bay going into lobster cove, goose cove other side under bridge during tide changes and weather. Drove a speed boat around in this area with friend.

He was a very strong swimmer -played football too it was an injury to his back from football that caused his death according to mom, his sister Kidney area -cleets Renal failure?, swim across channel think certain times as there is a terrible undertow pulls you around and under. Could also boat across.

🙂 Dave & Kim 🙂 P.S. Love the walks back and forward!
