You’ll never see this when you come to the beach after 8:00am because our awesome DPW beach crews and volunteer beach-picker-uppers do a tremendous job cleaning the beach each and very day.
Just saying, for some folks, after a day of fun and relaxation, they must be too worn out to pick up their belongings and garbage.

Yep. Sitting on your a## and drinking a case is pretty exhausting. Appreciate the cleanup, but maybe it just “enables” them.

It’s too bad cameras couldn’t be posted on the beach….. then there could be an offender highlight reel shown either on the internet or local TV. Perhaps even in the parking lot under a sign that says something like “How NOT to do a beach day” Seriously though, this sucks…. again, as a landlocked PA girl who loves Gloucester, I can’t imagine treating anywhere on Cape Ann this shabbily….

Super job by DPW – makes you wonder if they whomever leave it would do it in their own yard I would venture to say no in most cases! The sad part is it’s far to common to toss without consideration of others…:-( Dave

Corproate punishment for these reprobates who pollute our city and beaches! The lifeguards should call these people out.

I’ve heard the DPW workers take the trash and/or broken chairs at the bigger beaches, but at Nile’s Beach there have been two broken chairs for four days! The DPW workers have done a terrific job cleaning the beach of trash and debris left from the ocean and folks, but will you take the chairs too!! Thank you from a beach goer who enjoys the great job you are doing cleaning our beaches!!
