I don’t even know what to think about this guy. Obviously he taped this to make a point but was there even one obstruction that he couldn’t have easily driven around?

Anyone who is hardcore about anything can get annoying fast but I thought that was pretty funny. Using physical comedy to prove a point.

He made this video in response to the police officer who ticketed him for not staying in the bike lane. The bike lane was full of cars, and he had to go around them. But the officer didn’t care, and ticketed him anyway.
So he made this video to demonstrate how ridiculous that police officer was being. I think it’s awesome.

He has made a good point, he also should be wearing a helmet

Ouch! I hope he survived video-making in tact.

I watched this four years ago when Casey first put this up and it is as hilarious but also drives his point across with the same velocity as back in 2011.
I’ve wanted to run into the back of a police car a couple times while driving in the bike lane on Brookline Ave near Fenway. Police cars and taxis are the worst offenders.
But I’m chicken and not made of rubber anymore.

Agree with others, this is just funny. Take it for what it is. Most cyclists just want to stay alive out there…and we’re also drivers, spouses, parents, sons, daughters…people, just like everyone else.

to have to explain casey neistat is like, well, not having a clue. do your much-needed research if you think he’s all about making a statement about bike lanes. (YAWN). the guy’s a millionaire for good reason!

I’d be crumpled up into a thousand pieces taking one of those spills.

I see both sides of this but many of his spills were on purpose to get the point across (Ouch) concur with Joey painful way to prove a point! Some officer’s will give you a warning either verbal or through a citation warning type not fine assessment or points. At least you have bike lanes now – we did not have them when I was growing up never had any issues in the Cape Ann but then again did not have as many vehicles and respect is always a two-way street, Plus stayed on the back streets as much as possible and off RT-127 when possible within!
I have seen issues with both Bicycle Rider’s, and vehicle drivers respect and defensive driving on both sides is vital for safety! Safety & Security First! 🙂
