Got my flu shot at CVS yesterday. Took five minutes. Most insurance covers it without a co-pay. The lady who gave it to me was explaining how much overwhelming evidence there is to say it saves lives and then brought up the anti-flouride crusaders and how much misinformation is out there.
She also told me it takes three weeks to take effect, so get ahead of flu season and potentially save lives!

What if the flu shot is part of a Gov’t. conspiracy to kill off Baby Boomers before Social Security & Medicare go bankrupt?
I’d like to think that Uncle Sam is concerned with my health but I’m not so sure.

Now there’s an interesting point of view. “Don’t be the dope that puts elderly and people with weakened immune systems at risk. Get your flu shot today!” I’ve always avoided them because I’m just a coward when it comes to needles. No other reason than that. However, I do need to rethink the whole issue. Certainly my behavior, or lack of it, can put others at risk. I never thought of it that way. Good Point. I guess I’ll have to put on my big boy pants and get a flue shot this year.
And to the one who thinks it’s a Gov’t Conspiracy…. you have way to much confidence in this government’s ability to have such a capability. The only Baby Boomers who are going to get killed of are the ones who think like you. So now I need to add you to my daily prayers and pray that you and everyone you come in contact with stays healthy in spite of your misguided notions.
