Best place to buy cast iron pans is at a vintage shop or on eBay. Midcentury/war era/vintage Griswolds or Wagners are nice. They are thinner (due to metal rationing during war, I’ve bean told) and heat spreads and retains nicely. Don’t buy new because they’re overly heavy and made overseas.

Old Griswolds and the like are great if you can find them, however, Lodge brand is made in the USA since 1896, not China and are available in different sizes and shapes so that your purchase will be of pans that exactly fit your needs and desires…
